Central Selection Board, Bodoland Territorial Council has released an official notification for the recruitment of Forester-I and Forest Guard posts under the Forest Department of BTC. A total of 157 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website before the last date.
This notification also covers 60 newly added posts from villages in Biswanath and Sonitpur districts that now fall under BTC’s Udalguri District. Candidates who applied under earlier Government Notifications (No. E-233475/387, dated 21 September 2024, and No. E-233475/303, dated 6 November 2023) are also eligible to apply for these posts.

Eligibility Criteria BTC Forest Guard & Forester
🔴 Education:
➤ Forester-I: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
➤ Forest Guard: HSLC / 10th Pass from recognized board
➤ Age Limit: 18 to 40 years (Age relaxation as per Government rules)
➤ Nationality: Indian
➤ Residence: Only candidates belonging to the BTC area can apply. Candidates from 60 newly added villages in Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under BTC’s Udalguri District are also eligible.
🔴 Selection Process & Exam Pattern

- Written Examination
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification
- Written exam will be objective type (MCQ).
- Physical test is mandatory for final selection.
Physical Standards for BTC
Both Forester-I and Forest Guard posts have the following physical requirements are –

Points: Candidates must not have squint eyes and should have high colour vision. Distant vision should be at least 6/6 for one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other eye, without correction. Near vision should be normal. otherwise candidates will be rejected.
